Life Donation Awareness Associate of Midwest Ontario
How can you help?
There are many levels at which you can help save lives. Here are just a few suggestions.
Register Your Consent
The most important step you can take to ensure lives are saved by your decision to donate your organs and tissue, register your consent. Visit beadonor.ca to register today. Evidence shows that when a family is aware of their loved one’s decision to donate after death, 9 out of 10 will decided to donate. If the family is unaware of their loved one’s decision, only 5 out of 10 families will decide to donate. If you want your family spared with a difficult decision at a time of grief, register today.
Talk About It
The challenge to save more lives for organ and tissue donation is awareness. If every individual shared the importance of our cause with their friends, family and colleagues, just imagine the lives we could reach.
Workplace/Organization/Community Group Presentation
Are you part of a workplace or organization? Small or large, we would like to work with you to determine a suitable means to share our stories with your employees/members. Our stories are inspirational and encouraging. We have experience throughout the community with providing presentations and hosting information/registration booths. We bring with us a sense of understanding and sympathy for all concerns and questions in relation to organ and tissue donation.
There are several ways you can be more involved with the Life Donation Awareness Association.
– Public speakers, share your story to inspire others.
– Assist us with hosting information/registration booths to provide the public with the correct and current information. Dispel misconceptions and answer questions in a one-on-one environment.
– Please inquire as per a more involved role. We are always looking for members to be as involved as they choose to be. Your ideas and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
Since our group is comprised of diverse members in the transplant world, we are a strong support group. If you would simply like to talk to someone in your community that has been through a similar transplant challenge, we would very much like to connect with you. Do not hesitate to contact us. We have experienced recipients of most organs as well as inspiring donor families.
If you would like to get involved, please complete the form below and we’ll contact you.
